About us
About us
Welcome to Little House Day Care, a family group day care operating in Rye, NY since 2003. In our facility we offer a family environment that helps children cope with the absence of parents during the day. We work with parents as a team for one common interest, your child. Our goal is to help children build a strong foundation during their early childhood years to prepare them better for school years..
Our Philosophy We believe children should be respected as individuals with their own rates of growth, dispositions and interests. Children should be able to share their family and diversity values which can be reflected in the environment of the classroom. The classroom itself serves as a curriculum for children to develop self discovery, self-esteem, trust, strong family connections, and confidence. We value exploration, creativity, friendship, safe and nurturing environment during the early years of childhood. The interaction between parents and caregivers is essential for the children emotional and social development. The role of the teacher comes as active listener, observer, mentor and supporter for every need of the children. We respect children choices, and teacher’s priorities are children activities rather than adult’s convenience.
